We’re back from our latest visit to STL for bloodwork, a bone marrow biopsy & a consultation with Dr. Abboud.  Per Jack’s report, it was quick but not painless. As always, the BJC/Siteman staff were amazing. Won’t bore you with all the details, but there were some insurance related hiccups that required workarounds to ensure Jack got the medication & treatment he needs. An additional shout-out goes to our friends John & Mary Davidson, who helped us get Jack a new primary physician fast & in a hurry! These assists with unnecessary distractions are amazing & appreciated. We left Siteman with a plan for treatment going forward. Jack will have 3 more rounds of in-patient chemo beginning on 1/9. Treatment will take 4-5 days. Then we get 3 weeks off before we return for another round. After the three rounds, his oncology team will re-evaluate for future treatment (if needed). Fingers crossed it’s not needed!

We left feeling optimistic as always. We know Jack won’t just beat this, he’ll crush it! We’d love to be done with this tomorrow, but again, it’s a marathon. On a happy note, we had a great meal at Sen in STL to kick off the Jack Randle Birthday Weekend. Yep, the boy turns 21 on the 8th. Not what we imagine he planned for his 21st birthday, but he’s rolling with it. As always, thank you all for your continued support, love & positive energy. Keep it coming!!! Much love…

Meg, Rich & Jack
