December 7, 2023

It’s been a quiet day here. No tests, no procedures, no poking, no prodding. Jack’s passed the time playing PS5. I shopped at Whole Foods. I think my son is starting to get sick of me after 11 days of forced togetherness. It was nice to get out & do something normal. I clocked in late this morning & plan to clock out early this evening. That way the boy gets some “mom-free” time tonight! On the medical front, we got the preliminary results of his lumbar puncture & learned that there are no cancer cells visible in his spinal fluid when viewed under the microscope. They’ll complete additional tests but aren’t expecting to see any cancer in his spinal fluid. Yay! We’ll continue to stay the course & should learn what his next treatment (traditional chemo vs. oral chemo/steroids) is tomorrow. Fingers crossed for more boring days!

  3. Grandma Margaret told me about this blog, so here I am, very glad to be following Jack’s excellent progress in the best cancer hospital in the world! Yes, normal days, months, years stretch far ahead for you, Jack. Eat hearty, whatever sounds good. I myself particularly love chocolate-covered raisins. I have been eating them for 79 years. Yummie yum. My love to every one of you dear people. Positivity.
