For those of you who don’t know, today is my birthday. Woke up planning to head back to STL to hang out with Jack at BJC. Got surprised with a text telling me to come get him. So we’re home. He’s good… tired but good. And Rich & I are feeling a moment of peace. Gotta say, this is my best birthday gift ever!!!
Happy Birthday Baby Girl. You are the best present I have ever gotten. Jack comes in a close second!

To Jack who has endured so many transfusions, so many bone biopsies and lumbar punctures. You have gone through so much poking and prodding. You have even lost that amazing mustache and beard that you have been cultivating since 7th grade. You are my hero.
To my amazing daughter, who has lived out of a backpack and small suitcase since November 26th, but has never left my grandson’s side. You are my hero.
To my amazing son-in-law, who has held down the fort and gone to work everyday, when you would rather have been with your son and wife . You are my hero
To all of you people who have provided lodging, sent money , cards, prayers, gift bags, visited at the hospital I will never be able to thank you enough.
To all of you who come out 3 times a day to take care of my 4 grand dogs, my 2 grand cats and the 9 chickens ( I haven’t really gotten that close to the chickens, except for Thelma, who has one eye and half a comb, because she nearly got eaten by a fox) thank you, thank you thank you!
This journey is far from over people, so just keep praying and thinking good thoughts. I love you all so much.
I am gonna sign off, using the name that I proudly acquired , when Jack was in pre-K and I became a room mother.
